Dr. BR Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jalandhar

It is a deemed University also known as NIT Jalandhar. It was started as Punjab Regional Engineering College (PREC) in 1987. It offers B.tech, M.tech, M.sc, MBA,Ph.D courses. Admissions are done after the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) Counselling.

Chandigarh University (CU)

Chandigarh University is a private University. Its main campus is located at Mohali, Punjab. It was established in 2012. LPU offers various courses in the field of Engineering, Management, Law, Biotechnology, Architecture, Pharma, Hospitality etc. Admission is on the basis of entrance exam conducted by CU Chandigarh.  It organise its own entrance exam known as Chandigarh University Scholarship Admission Test (CUSAT).

Chitkara University

Chitkara University is a private University. Its main campus is located near Rajpura , Punjab. It also has a campus in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh.  It was established in 2010. Chitkara University offers various courses in the field of Engineering, Management, Architecture, Pharma, Hospitality etc. Admissions are done after the counselling process conducted by Chitkara University.

DAV University (DAVU)

DAV University is a private University. It was established in 2013. Its main campus is located at Jalandhar. It is run under the control of DAV (Dayanand Anglo Vedic) education trust.  Engineering, Management, Agriculture, Mass Communication are the major courses offered by the University.  University conduct its own entrance examination i.e. DAVUET, DAVMET for the admission in engineering and management courses offered by the University.

Desh Bhagat University (DBU)

Desh Bhagat University is a Private University.  It came into existence in the year 2006. Its main campus is located at Fatehgarh Sahib. Lovely Professional University is a private University. Its main campus is located at Phagwara, Jalandhar. It was started as Lovely Institute of Management in 2001. Later in the year 2005, it turns to a private University.  LPU offers various courses in the field of Engineering, Management, Law, Architecture, Pharma etc. Admission is on the basis of entrance exam conducted by LPU.  It organise its own entrance exam known as Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test (LPUNEST).

Rayat Bahra University(RBU)

Rayat Bahara University is a private university. It is located at Mohali Punjab. The university is come into existence in 2005. It is started as Regional Institute of Management and Technology later in the year 2015 it was converted to Private University. Its campus is located at Mandi Gobindgarh. SLIET is a deemed University located at Patiala.  The campus is located at Sangrur Punjab. It was established in 1989. It offers various courses in the field of engineering and technology. Admissions are done on the basis of performance in entrance exam conducted by the Institution i.e. All India SLIET Entrance test.

Thapar University is a deemed University located at Patiala. It was established in 1956 as Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology. It got its University status in 1985. It offers various courses in the field of engineering and technology.
