UGI organized a National Conference on "Dynamics of Sustainable Rural Development"

Universal Group of Institutions organized a National Conference on Dynamics of Sustainable Rural Development at PHD Chamber, Sector 31, Chandigarh. Dr. Gurpreet Singh Chairman Universal Group of Institutions begun the session with Lamp Lighting & Saraswati vandana. In his welcome address, he said that Rural Development has the huge potential for the country to grow. on this occasion Dr. G.S. Shergill, professor, University of Massey Auckland, New Zealand presented the key note address. He discussed the various concept of Rural Development, Strategies of Sustainable Development and the experience which he have in regards to Sustainable development in New Zealand. Dr. P. M. Ghole CGM NABARD who was the chief guest in the conference focussed on the various projects which NABARD is doing for sustainable development. He said that NABARD is promoting various projects such as Dairy, Producer's organization, Farmer's club etc in order to have sustainable development. He also focused on NIE. Special remarks were given by Rajni lamba CEO REEDS, Chandigarh. She said that Skill Development will definately help in sustaining rural development. She also focussed on data collection in rural area in order to have right development.
As many as 50 poster were presented in the conference which was based on sustainable development. Some of the topics which was covered by participants were:-
