International Day of Forests

The message of FAO, UN: Plant a tree, plant the future highly motivated us and on March 21, 2014, we, at Universal Group of Institutions celebrated International Day of Forests to celebrate and raise awareness of the importance of all types of forests by organizing a Tree-plantation drive in the campus; by organizing a poster-making competition for students on the topic of Save trees, save Earth; and by conducting a seminar (Chief guest: Dr. Shruti Shukla, Deputy Director (Environment), Punjab School Education Board, Mohali) which was attended by more than 300 students that focused on how to make saving and planting trees a way of life.
