Guest lecture Technical (Power Systems; Smart Grid systems)

The main objective was to introduce the students about the various aspects of Smart Grid system.

Power Systems; Smart Grid Systems involve the key elements such as Electricity ACT 2003, advanced transmission, consumption & load control.

Details of the Event:

  1. The event started with the floral welcome to Dr. Y.P. Verma , Head of Department, Electrical Engg, University Institute of Engg & Tech, Sector-25, Chandigarh.
  2. Around 80 students(EE & CE 4th sem) marked their presence in the Lecture.
  3. Y.P. Verma projected various aspects in the field of Power systems, Electricity Act 2003, pre paid energy meter, smart grid, advanced transmission, consumption & load control, architecture and design, policy and regulation, licence free generation, renewable support policies in different controls, availabilty based tarriffs and many more.
  4. At the end, Dr. Y.P. Verma was honored by Ms. Kshipra Gupta.

Outcomes:

The students were made aware of different resources regarding Power Systems and the session ended into interactive session.

Conclusion:

 The students were really benefited from the lecture delivered by Dr. Y.P. Verma, thereby making students know about the Power management apps & smart grid.
