PTC new channel organised a live chat with Dr.Daljeet Cheema, the Education minister of Punjab on 17th Sep, 2015 in PTC news channel studio. The topic of the chat was corporal punishment. Ms. Rita Sharma anchored this show. Students of B.Ed of Divya shiksha Gurukul College of education participated in it. In the chat show, Students asked the questions about corporal punishment and what remedies the government is going to take to stop corporal punishment in the schools so that due to fear of corporal punishment, students should not drop out from their schools. Dr. Daljeet Cheema, Education Minister of Punjab assured the students that appropriate steps will be taken against guilty teachers and Education department will try to plug the loop holes in deteriorating education system.
