Universal Group of Institutions organized an International Symposium on "Harnessing Cultural Diversities for Networked Economies" in the campus. In the symposium 18 countries such as AFGANISTAN, BOTSWANA, COMBODIA, CUBA, CAMERON, EITHIOPIA, FIJI, GHANA, MALAWI, NEPAL, NIGER, TANZANIA, UGANDA, NIGERIA, PALESTINE, SRI LANKIA, VIETNAM AND ZIMBABWE from which 39 delegates participated in it. Dr. Gurpreet Singh Chairman, Universal Group of Institutions welcomed all the delegates and begun the event with lamp lighting. On this occasion the Head training department of UGI discussed the Journey of UGI with the participants. It was followed by the Presentation of Dr. Sanjeev K Sharma, Director UIAMS, Panjab University, Chandigarh on the changing Contours of Borderless world. On this occasion Dr. R. R Singh, Director, NIESBUD, New Delhi discussed the role of education in the real world with the students and participants. Dr. OP Katare Director, Intellectual Property cell and Director Vivekanand Center for Interdisciplinary Research, Panjab University, Chandigarh in his presidential address discussed the importance of meditation and yoga. These presentations were followed by the cultural events such as Solo Songs, Bhangra, Guitar presentation etc. Dr. Vikas Dhawan Director, UIET gave the vote of thanks to the delegates from different countries who participated in the event.
