UGI celebrated Diwali in the shape of "DIWALI UTSAV MELA"

Universal Group of Institutions celebrated Diwali in the campus in the shape “DIWALI UTSAV MELA”. Students from all the departments participated in the celebration. Students put various stalls in the Diwali Utsav. These stalls include various eatables such as – Bhel Puri, Dahi Bhale, Pani Puri, Lasi, etc, Home decor products, Puppets & Handmade Toys , Stationary Items, Decorative Pots, Various decorative items for Drawing room, Attractive Handmade cards, Gaming zone, Design the dress etc. Students of UGI presented various skits, Dance & Sang many songs. The folk dance of Punjab - Bhagra and Gidda were also presented by group of students. All the staff members of UGI were also participated along with the students. Musical Chair round of both staff and students were also played on the occasion. The Main objective of this Diwali Utsav was to celebrate Diwali in an Eco- friendly manner where the crackers were completely prohibited. Dr. Gurpreet Singh Chairman Universal Group of Institutions said Education gives knowledge and it helps in removing those things which are blindly followed by others. He said being academician it is duty of us to motivate the students to celebrate Diwali by lighting a candle instead of crackers. Students were given appreciation letters for participating and putting the stall to celebrate the occasion. Best Stall was also awarded.
