Applied Science Deptt. of UPC organized Environmental Awareness Camp

On 18th March 2016, Applied Science Department of Universal Polytechnic College, organized Environmental Awareness Camp in the seminar hall at 2:00 pm. The objective of the event was to trigger creativity in the young minds and to make everyone aware about environment. Poster making competition, speech competition, best out of waste and skits were the main attractions of the event. Respected Director Sir Dr. Kapoor, Principal Ma’am, Ms.Prabhjot Jolly ,H.O.Ds and faculty members of UPC were present there.
Mr. Satish (HoD Civil), Mr. Sidhant & Ms. Garima were the judges of the event. The event took off with the welcome speech by the students of Applied Science Department. In Poster making competition students prepared colourful and knowledgeable posters. A skit on environmental awareness was prepared by the students of Applied Science department. Ritesh Roshan ME 4th Sem and Pritesh Kumar ME II Sem grabbed 1st and 2nd position respectively in the poster making competition. Daksh Panwar & Md. Nawab ME II Sem and Avantika CSE II Sem grabbed 1st and 2nd position in best out of waste competition. Vaibhav CE 6th Sem and Ismail CE II Sem grabbed 1st and 2nd position respectively in speech competition. As an outcome, the students came to know about various environmental issues. The event spread a message,i.e., to save environment.
