UCACS organized a guest lecture on Income Tax Law on March 14, 2016

A speacial guest lecture oragnised by Univeral College, Ballopur, Lalru on ‘Income Tax Law’ was on March 14, 2016, went off very well. The event started with lamp lightning ceremony and floral welcome to the invited guest Dr. Shailinder Sekhon, Associate Professor, Deptt. of Distance Education, Punjabi University, Patiala by HOI, Dr. L.K. Attri. All faculty members and more than 60 students from different streams attended the lecture. A number of important topics were discussed including the direct as well as indirect tax, basic concept of taxation, necessity to pay tax, computation of taxation, current rates of tax, authorities for tax collection etc.
Dr. Sekhon awared the students about the important aspects of taxation. Dr. Sekhon has donated a copy of her published book to the college library and promised to donate more of her publications shortly.The lecture ended with an interactive discussion and concluding remarks by Dr. L.K. Attri. At the end of the event, vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Dalip Kumar (Assistant Professor).
