UCACS organised an industrial visit to "Unitel Pharmaceuticals" Derabassi on 30 March, 2016

The Department of Commerce, Universal College of Arts, Commerce and Science organised an industrial visit to “Unitel Pharmaceuticals”, Derabassi on 30.March 2016. The students departed from the campus at 11:00 am and reached the destination by 11:30 am. The company had arranged snacks for the students which was a benign gesture. Dr. Vikram Talwar, Chairman and Mr. Rajesh, CEO, interacted with the students; after that the staff of the firm introduced the Unitel Pharmaceuticals to us. Thereafter, we have started our visit to the functioning of the firm. For the purpose, the students were divided into two groups to avoid ambiguous situation while getting expertise about the working of the firm in an efficient manner.
Later on, the students along with Dr. Talwar visited all the departments of the firm, where they visited to the production and testing plant. Dr. Talwar told the students about the plant, medicines manufacturing and the suppliers of the different salts for medicines: the testing unit and various tests used to test the medicine had also been demonstrated. They also awared the students about IP (India pharmacopeia) guidelines, based upon which, the products are manufactured. He also illustrated the students about the process of distillation of water used to manufacture the products. Lastly, we moved to the accounts department of the firm, where Dr. Vikram Talwar had an interactive discussion about accounting, taxation etc. Students also had an interactive and worthy session with Dr. Talwar and the staff members. The ambience of the firm was very environment friendly. The visit concluded with great learning experience and all the students and faculty members had a cherishable time which trapped in a group photograph at the last.
