On 26 sept 2016, a guest lecture by Lt. Col. Gurmeet Singh Sethi,Motivational Speaker was organised by dept of apllied sciences , Lt Col Sethi made the students aware of the fact6s that apart fromn acquire core competence in their respective streams of engineering , they need to develop certain soft skills such as communications skills , computer , literacy , numerical ability, data analysis , logical reasoning etc.
The students listened attentively to him , who empahasised that the big names in the corporate world look as much for soft skills as for core competence in their prospective employees and inspire them to acquire those skills .
