The Regional Conference on Environment 2018 organised under the patronage of hon’ble justice Swatantar Kumar (retd.) was held on 22nd April 2018 at Panjab University Chandigarh sector 14. The objective of this conference was numerous critical issues regarding water conservation, air pollution and solid waste management. Today’s environmental challenges required taking focus approaches which will protect and conserve environment. The various sessions of said conference was chaired by the Governor of different states, such as Mr. Kaplan Singh Solanki Governor of Chandigarh and his excellence of Himanchal Pradesh Shri Acharaya Dev Vrath. Sitting judges of Punjab and Haryana high court such as hon’ble Mr. Justice Surya Kant, hon’ble justice Ajay Mital, hon’ble Mr. Justice Mahesh Grover, hon’ble Mr. Justice Jawad Rahim acting chairperson national green tribunal, lawyers, academicians, dignitaries, and delegates from all walks of life including the environmentalists addressed the various topics on environment. Dr. Gurpreet Singh chairperson of Universal group of Institution was honoured by Justice Swatantar Kumar for his contribution towards the said conference.
