Universal Institute of Nursing celebrates World Asthma Day

Asthma is a common long-term inflammatory disease of the airways of the lungs. It is characterized by variable and recurring symptoms, reversible airflow obstruction, and bronchospasm. Symptoms include episodes of wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, and shortness of breath. These episodes may occur a few times a day or a few times per week.
There is no cure for asthma. Symptoms can be prevented by avoiding triggers, such as allergens and irritants, and by the use of inhaled corticosteroids. Longactingbetaagonists (LABA) or antileukotrien agents may be used in addition to inhaled corticosteroids if asthma symptoms remain uncontrolled.
With the motive of creating awareness, students of Universal Institute of Nursing celebrates world asthma day at CHC Lalru under the guidance of Mrs Samta Rani (Principal), and committee incharge Ms Priya.Nursing students impart health education to the patients and their relatives present in the CHC and clarifies their doubts about asthma.
