UGI Celebrated Teacher's Day

Universal Group of Institutions celebrated the Teachers Day by honouring the different national and state awardee teachers from schools from different rural and urban schools of Tricity in the presence of our Hon’ble Chief Guest Prof. (Dr.) Jai Rup Singh, Former Vice Chancellor Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Founder Vice Chancellor Central University of Punjab, Bathinda, Chairman Dr. Gurpreet Singh, Prof. Dr. Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, Campus Director and different Directors and Principals of different institutes of Universal Group of Institutions. Students added colour to the programme by their cultural presentations. Different awards were given to the faculty of different institutes of UGI: Award of Teaching, Award for contribution towards Institutional Development and Outstanding Teacher Award. On this occasion Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Jai Rup Singh elaborated that how the role of a teacher has changed with the changed terminology from Guru to Teacher, from ancient period to this modern period. Quality Education is the only solution for the growth and development of a nation.
Dr. Gurpreet Singh Chairman UGI said that Teaching is the most noble and respectful profession not only in the India but Globally. He further added a teacher should enhance their knowledge and skills with the changing trend of technologies and digital India. Prof. Dr. Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, Campus Director proposed the Vote of thanks.
