NGO VATSALYA GIRLS VISITED UNIVERSAL GROUP ON INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY
International Womens Day is a moment to pause and reflect on the contributions of women to the world and to reaffirm our commitment to continued progress on gender equality.
To express the importance of women in the society, Universal Group celebrated today International Womens day (8th March 2014) at college campus. With that NGO VATSALYA Girls visited the campus for the celebrations and to know more about the higher technical education. In campus they interacted with the faculty members to understand the need of higher education and how technical education with trained skills can make them more skilled. A badge was designed for the lady staffs, displaying the womens day 2014 slogan. As a token of respect NSS volunteers distributed flowers and Badges to all lady staffs of college including the D group lady staffs. Separate oaths were readout by NSS volunteers for Ladies and Gents of Universal. The womens oath emphasized on the importance of women in getting knowledge about the Indian Women protection acts and laws.
Chief guest Mrs Sangita Vardhan, a Socialist & Chairperson of NGO VATSALYA shared that Today we celebrate International Womens Day by recognizing the important contribution of rural women across the world to the well being of their families and communities and in sustaining socities and economies. We call for action to ensure that all the rural women can live and work in dignity.
Chairman Universal Group Dr Gurpreet Singh in his speech welcomed NGO VATSALYA and said I applaud women and ask everyone to recognize their contributions. It is time to unleash the full potential of women so that they can take their proper place in efforts to achieve a fair and equitable global economy
In the end Dr D.P Singh congratulated everyone on the occasion and ended the program with his vote of thanks and quote Women are the real architects of society
