Universal Institute of Engineering & Technology encourages investigation of basic and applied areas of science and technology in the form of Sponsored and Consultancy projects. Research grants for such projects are given by Government agencies, Academic Institutions and industries (both national and international). These projects are usually of 1-5 years duration with periodic appraisals, while research objectives and goals may be refined along the way. The institute has set up modern laboratories and the supporting infrastructure.
The faculty of the institute maintains strong industrial links by undertaking consultancy assignments. This includes job of varied nature like troubleshooting, product and process development and design checks. In addition to these activities, the faculty members also run short-term company specific training programmes.
